Weston Cemetery, located in rural Jennings County, is the counties only Indiana Heritage Cemetery. A heritage cemetery is a cemetery that is at least 50 years old and/or contains prehistoric burials.
Establish in 1872, Weston Cemetery is almost 150 years old!
The statue overlooking the resting place of Mrs. Maggie Sayers is one of my favorites in the area. I don’t see elaborate grave markers like this one very often in rural Indiana, but when you do they are striking.
